PyCon Togo 2025 marked a historic milestone as the **very first PyCon organized in Togo**. Designed as a **national conference**, it aimed to bring together Python enthusiasts from across the country beginners, intermediates, and experts under one roof.

The conference was initiated and organized by a group of young Togolese, together with volunteers from other African countries, under the umbrella of the **Python Togo community**. Python Togo is a non-profit community dedicated to:

* promoting the use of the Python programming language,
* empowering new generations of Python developers,
* advancing open-source technologies in the country, and
* positioning Togo on the international map of Python and technology.

Beyond programming, the conference sought to encourage **innovation through Python and open-source projects**, with a focus on areas such as artificial intelligence and community-driven software development.

The conference attracted participants from **across Togo’s regions** and also from neighboring and international countries, making it not just a national but also a regional and global event. Nationalities represented included **Togo, Nigeria, Benin, Côte d’Ivoire, and Ghana**, while online participation extended to the **United States, France, the Netherlands, and several countries in Africa, Europe, America, and Asia**.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://report.pytogo.org/pycon-togo-2025-post-conference-report/conference-background.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
